#4850 is OK here with Javascript disabled as checked on a Titanium,
Raspberry Pi Mk1, and RPCEmu.
The recent 3.9 release is OK with Javascript enabled.
I can confirm...
#4850 with Javascript enabled, google.co.uk doesn't work.
With Javascript disabled, google does work okay.
