I have just done a timed test - to iconise the netSurf Build page
takes four seconds on an old RPC (ro4.02 arm 710) which I find
disconcerting. Previously this action was effectively instant.
FWIW almost instantaneous here on an Iyonix, as is the BBC home page.
Would I expect this amount of difference merely because of hardware
