arrive at various savings.
Is there a shortcut to 'Save location as ANT URL'?
If not, I wonder if one could be implemented please, as it is such a
long, tedious, error-prone (slip off it and you have to start again)
way to get there by mouse?

Why not just Shift-drag from the URL field?

A simple drag gives it in text format, ideal for dropping into e-mails, in
case that was unknown as well!

Ah, I thought that was Ctrl-drag but I wish it wouldn't put a line
feed in at the end of the URL as I normally want to add a quote at
that point. Copy and paste does the same.

To recap...
Try pressing the Shift key and holding it down, then Click and hold over
the *http* bit of the URL in the bar, a blank icon will appear, still
holding Shift, drag it to where-ever...

PS: It doesn't have to be on the http bit only... The point is don't grab
the left hand end icon, grab the textural bit.

Here, using RISC OS 6.20 (with icon text selection enabled) and NetSurf
r10625, shft-drag from the URL bar to a filer window saves a URL file
and ctrl-drag saves a Text file. It's necessary to click and hold on the
URL, until the save icon appears, before commencing the drag.

Works here on Adjust 4.39. A little box bounded by tiny dashes appears & is
dragable to any destination.

As I said in my previous posting it does work with RO 6.20.
Try pressing the Shift key and holding it down, then Click and hold over
the *http* bit of the URL in the bar, a blank icon will appear, still
holding Shift, drag it to where-ever...
I do this a lot when I want to get a URL from the bar into a document I'm
writing.

No need to keep shift down after the icon appears. I regularly use
Shift-drag to transfer a problem page from NetSurf to Oregano.

Ok - I have now got shift-drag to work on 6.10 - this will save file
with type URL.
What does not work on 6.10 is drag without shift. On the Iyonix this
saves a file with type Text.
