Is the "Building NetSurf on RISC OS" page uptodate? I have all
the requirements, have just got the latest tool and library tree
and have checked out the latest source with SVN. I set the CSD,
gave the next-slot more than 6Mb and entered "make" in a taskwindow.
I get, after the 13 M.CONFIG: reports,
" COMPILE: content/content.c"
cc1: <NSLibs$Dir>/include: Input/output error
cc1: <NSLibs$Dir>/include/libxml2: Input/output error
cc1: <NSLibs$Dir>/include/libmng: Input/output error
make: *** [build-riscos-riscos/content_content.o] Error 1
What am I most likely doing wrong? I have checked that GCC, Perl
and OSLib have all set their system variables to announce where they
are. I notice that there appears to be some discrepancies between
the layout inside the recently fetched !NSTools and the description
on the webpage.

Are you using GCC4? The prebuilt libraries in NSTools are not elf format,
so you if you're using NSTools you need GCC3. To build with GCC4 you'd
have to compile the libraries yourself atm.

Quick related question: does the version of NetSurf's makefile taken from the
SVN trunk as of yesterday currently work on RISC OS GCC3 (3.4.6 r3)? I've not
had time to do more than a quick test and Google, but I'm getting "missing
'endif'" errors from Make that Google suggests /could/ be a Make bug
(although I'm far from a Make expert). AFAIK I've got the correct versions of
all the tools installed.
If people think this /should/ work then I'll look further into my setup and
follow this up somewhere more appropriate with some details. OTOH, if it's
already a known 'issue', it could save me some wasted time and investigation.

Make sure you're using make v3.81 which is in !NSTools. That's a more
recent version than the one in GCCSDK 3.4.6 r3.
