The NetSurf developers are happy to announce the completion of NetSurf
2.0. This release contains many new features and enhancements as well as
many minor bug fixes and improvements. It will be made available for
download from http://www.netsurf-browser.org/ on Saturday 25th April.
Here is a change log detailing the important changes in this release:

I agree but only wish it had JAVA as its absence is causing me
particular difficulty with some sites and most recently with WHICH's
Survey's. I have previously helped with these but to access them you
now need JAVA on the Browser!

I assume you mean Java, as it's not an acronym :) I have no idea how
Which's surveys work; do you mean JavaScript? Java is a plug-in issue
and is outside the scope of the NetSurf project. JavaScript requires
an awful lot of work, which is being done and worked towards. Nagging
for it won't make it happen more quickly!

Right, well, there's no such thing as JAVA, so you'll need to get them
to clarify which of Java or JavaScript they mean. If they mean

Right, well, there's no such thing as JAVA, so you'll need to

Java is a programming language. It's possible that the site uses java
applets, like the RBS/NatWest sites. I can't use the NatWest site from
my RiscPC.
If they mean JavaScript, you may be able to use Firefox under RISC
OS.
If they mean Java, you're very stuck; the only Java plugin for RISC OS
is a decade old and terribly out of date; hardly anything runs with
it.
You could have a look at the source of the login page to see whether
it uses javascript or calls up a Java applet.

NetSurf 2.0 is a snapshot of the development version from a few days
ago, with a few release-specific changes. If you're using a
development version from today, you're already using something later.
Beware: now we have released 2.0, we are likely to start implementing
radical changes, so test builds may become more reliable. For this
reason, we recommend having a 2.0 copy somewhere safe.

Thanks for clarifying this, apart from the obvious typo! I'm updating
test builds regularly, and have a copy of 2.0 for safety, as you say.
