As originally stated, I used r10638. From the 'Hard drive
continuous access' thread, it appears that you introduced
this feature between 10640 and 10651.
FWIW, it doesn't happen here with release 10649 and RISC OS 5.16. From
the little I understand these things:
1) 10650 mentions "noisy logging"; is this the cause of the
disc activity?
2) The releases after 10651 don't look as if they're relevant
to RISC OS.
As I want to be kind to my hard drive, I haven't dared go beyond
10649. Sorry, developers!
