The curl program used in Netsurf is quite a bit bigger than the one that
doesn't have SSL support. So they could load a smaller curl program?
I'm afraid I've no idea what you're talking about here. NetSurf uses
libcurl to do its fetching for it. The library used in the autobuilder is
already as small as possible, although it does have SSL support built into
it. Creating a non-SSL version of the library is trivial, it's just a
build option.
