Looking at the file in NetSurf was interesting. Despite a content-type
of text/plain, all the 'tags' (OS variable references in angle
brackets) had been stripped. The page info window also showed the
encoding as a merry string of oflas ;-)
Unrelated, but there seems to be a small problem with animated GIFs
using a mask -- they leave 'trails'. See this page for examples:

Wipe a menu over the letters to see the effect.
