when I omit the http:// part I get : name / password incorrect,
so no problem resolving ftp here
Ok, I now found out that FTP URLs are passed to the HTTP proxy which
isn't exactly right. That's why I get the strange problems. If I turn
of the HTTP proxy in NetSurf, then the FTP URL in fact works but it's
unusable in NetSurf: navigation is not possible. Just try some FTP side
inside NetSurf, e.g.
ftp://ftp.draytek.com/,
ftp://ftp.uni-stuttgart.de/ and so on. You can only see this one
directory listing but not navigate anywhere.
So, there are basically two things that need fixing:
1) Only real HTTP request being passed through the HTTP proxy.
2) Make it possible to navigate FTP lists.
