The loading speed is proportional to the number of entries in your global
history, as this is the information that is being processed (the 'URL' file
in Choices.)
I have been in the habit of clearing the global history on a
regular
basis as I had heard this before. So I loaded Netsurf and checked it,
having looked at only a few sites this morning. I found a global
history for "Today" a mile long - 90,607 bytes long to be precise. I
deleted it quit netsurf and reloaded. Now I have a global history that
looks to be identical to the one deleted. Most of the sites have not
been visited for a long time and some I've never heard of let alone
visited. The few I checked had today's date attached.
What is going on here??
This may well be the reason for the long loading time but this should
not be happening.
