Unacceptable Type
by Christopher Dewhurst
Hi all,
Have just uploaded a .ZIP file and needed to test I have the right URL
to give out to people so I tried pointing to it with Netsurf (typing
in the full URL) but it's complaining "Unacceptable Type".
This doesn't seem to happen with other browsers/platforms (where said
Zipfile downloads OK).
Have looked for documentation on this error but to no avail.
Is it something I am doing wrong with Netsurf ?
#2040 on Raspberry Pi RO 5.21
thanks

Hide address bar
by Nicolas de Marqué
Hello,
I use netsurf in framebuffer, and search to not display the address bar,
is this a way to hide it in a configuration file?
And if yes, what is the name of the configuration file.
Best Regards,
Nicolas de Marqué

2004: curious behaviour
by Dave Higton
I noticed, with NS 2004, on the ROOL fora pages, that when I click on
a link with a hash and then try to scroll up, NS rapidly oscillates
between redrawing the window at the original location and my chosen
scrolled-to location. 2000 is OK, 2004 not.
Can someone else please confirm this before I raise a bug report?
Dave

2000 plus behaviour
by Brian
So far as I can tell, every version since 2000 goes into some kind of loop
when downloading and rendering pages. Though a page may appear to have
been completely rendered the 'eggtimer' continues to scroll and obstructs
other activities like quitting NetSurf.

Bug reporting
by Dave Higton
The first thing the bug tracker asks is Category, which is a
list of platforms from which I have to choose one, indicating
that the bug is specific to a platform.
But, since I only have one platform, how do I know if what I'm
reporting is specific to that platform?
How to the developers react to it? Now that RISC OS is a
minority platform for Netsurf, does it make the developers
take less notice of the report?
Or do the developers take it as simply the platform on which
it was first observed, and find if it's common to other
platforms?

BBC Programme Pages
by John Williams
I notice that, when I click on a programme page from the Radio 4 Schedule
Page, the main photo is pixellated, whilst other photos on the page are OK.
Under Ubuntu in Firefox, the photos are rendered correctly.
I suspect this may be something to do with NetSurf trying to render a
thumbnail instead of the main JPEG - perhaps an EXIF file with embedded
thumbnail?
However, other browsers get it right, so why can't my preferred browser,
NetSurf under RISC OS, get it right?
Look at, say, http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b044mc1g - the page for the
programme I've just listened to - to see what I mean.
Or is there some other explanation?
John

CSS Base
by Peter Slegg
Does anyone know what is wrong with the Atari daily builds?
Any page just opens a dialogue box saying CSS Base (attached).
No pages are rendered.
