Scroll wheel scrolling hangs?
by Grahame Parish
I'm running r10651 on RO 5.16 (flashed) with !HID 0.36. I've noticed
recently that if I use the scroll bar to move up and down a page all
is OK, but if I try the scroll wheel (which is my normal method) I get
a hang of 6 or 7 seconds each time before the page moves. During this
time the Organiser clock stops. The worst case was around 30 seconds,
but I've not seen it that long since. Can anyone else replicate this?

Unknown SSL protocol
by John Williams (address)
Sometime after r8950 - 1st Aug 2009, accessing my French bank results in
this error at the password box appearing stage:
Sorry, NetSurf was unable to display this page
Unknown SSL protocol error in connection to
voscomptesenligne.labanquepostale.fr:443
- so something changed after that version.

Shortcut to Save Location as ANT URL?
by Roger Darlington
Pressing various combinations of f3 or Shift-f3 or CNTRL-f3 I can
arrive at various savings.
Is there a shortcut to 'Save location as ANT URL'?
If not, I wonder if one could be implemented please, as it is such a
long, tedious, error-prone (slip off it and you have to start again)
way to get there by mouse?

Hard drive continuous access
by Bob Latham
Hi,
Using OS 4.39 and this happens on more than one machine.
I've noticed that with recent versions of Netsurf, if a netsurf window is
open then the hard drive is continuously being accessed non stop.
r10640 works fine - no continuous hard disc access.
r10651 hard disc continuous if a netsurf window is open.
r10656 hard disc continuous if a netsurf window is open.
Is this a bug or a feature or have I got something wrong? I have reverted
to r10640.
Cheers,
Bob.

Easy Font Pro says Netsurf attempting to change Font$Path
by Roger Darlington
I am new to Easy Font Pro, so it may just be a setting in that that I
need to alter.
I ave EFP run at boot up.
Now whenever I run Netsurf, Easy Font Pro issues an error to the
effect that it has detected that Netsurf wants to change the
Font$path, and do I want to let it.
Whichever way I answer, the next time I run Netsurf, I get asked the
same question. Anyone know where and what I should change somewhere?
I only ask here because it seems to be a specific to Netsurf. OvPro
doesn't do this when run.

Netsurf makes RO4.39 crawl along...
by Roger Darlington
My Netsurf r10664, has been making my Win7, 64bit RO4.39
ARM7500AdjustVA crawl along. I didn't know why.
But when I was backing everything up, I noticed that Netsurfs log file
had grown to epic proportions! 690MB!
I think maybe that it continually writing to this file was slowing
everything down.
I have now deleted said file, but, of course, that wont stop a new
humungous log file being produced as it crashes along.

crash (due to log file?)
by Jess Hampshire
Hi
I just updated netsurf via riskpkg (r10672) and after looking around
ebay for a few minutes, it crashed and stronged was unable to load the
log.
I am using memphis3 with the RAM scrap option (and copying the
RUfl_cache file to it on boot)
The Memphis drive was full, so I deleted the WWW folder to clear it
out.
Recreating the events, it looks like the log file grew so large it
filled the drive, then crashed.
Could the size of the log file be capped to a sensible size?
(Perhaps 1/2 the maximum size you could possibly need, when full it
would start a new file, it would delete all but the most recent 3
files)
Would an automatic error reporting system be viable?
(eg on restart NetSurf detects the crash and offers to ftp the logs to
you, with some additional details)

Downloading zip files
by Russell Hafter - Lists
Twice in the last week or so I have downloaded zipped
archives from MW Software, using r10638.
In both cases I did not get an archive icon to drag to a
filer window, but the NetSurf window filled up with the
data.
I then had to save the page and re filetype it as 'archive'.
This never used to happen before, but I do seem to remember
reports of something similar with Fresco in the distant
past.
Given the general high competence level of the website
owner, I cannot imagine that he has done anything wrong.
However, downloading PDFs from my own websites does proceed
normally.
Ideas?

NetSurf and Printing
by Dave Symes
Has anyone else had problems printing from the recent releases of NetSurf,
up to and including todays 30 April r10528?
It will print the page, but then Errors out and dies, presenting the usual
Log file (I still have stored).
This happens with the past number of versions, including the 2.5 release.
The 9 Jan r9799 version which I've retained to fall back on, prints the
same pages perfectly okay.
