Bug tracker page unusable!
by Dr Peter Young
This is with RISC OS 5.16 and NetSurf r10951.
I've just had a crash on the HSBC site; I went to the bug reporting
site to report this, but have found it to be unusable. The "Add new"
point on the site is overlapped by "Bugs", and I haven't found a way
of being able to click on it. Is there any direct URL for the "Add
new" option?
TIA,
With best wishes,
Peter.

# link problem
by Richard Porter
I could make a ten minute movie of NetSurf trying to get to a post at
the bottom of one of my forum threads. It seems to spend most of its
time and processing power reformatting the page after every one or two
images have been fetched. But the real killer is, if I try to scroll
up to see how far it's got, it throws me down to the bottom again. I
have to wait until it's finished thrashing about before I can use the
vertical scroll bar.
A contributory problem is that it first formats all images according
to the space needed for the 'alt' text and then when it's got the
image it reformats the page again using the image dimensions. It does
this even if it's given the width and height in the tag.
There has to be a better way. For a start, if the user scrolls the
page then forget about any on-page name/id tags you were trying to get
to - the user has taken control. Otherwise finish formatting the page
and only then jump to the name tag.
Secondly, forget about the 'alt' text unless fetching the image fails,
and then format the text within the image dimensions if known. Better
still, display the alt text in the "About this object" window (Object
> Object > Info). Time for a feature request!

Hotlist display silly
by David H Wild
I have found a "silly" in the display of hotlist entries.
If you click on the scrollbar to move down whole screen, the entry after
the present lowest one is missed and the new display starts with the entry
two after the present lowest.

Black Blobs
by Geoffrey Baxendale
Hi All,
I have just downloaded r11090 and the good news is that the text has
re-appeared in the hot list. The bad news is the black blobs are still
there instead of the icons.
I have just had black blobs all the time for a long time now, has nobody
else had this problem?

Editing hotlist entries
by Harriet Bazley
We can now edit the title of entries in the hotlist once again (hooray!)
However, I'm having a lot of trouble doing so, since Netsurf keeps
closing the writable icon I'm typing into and putting the cursor into
the icon below (so I end up editing the URL instead of the page title).
It seems to be happening whenever I use the Shift key (with arrow keys
or just to type capitals!)
r11015 (05 Dec 2010) - can anyone else see this behaviour?

Hotlist background colour
by Gerald Dodson
I hate to critiscise as I have have been very pleased to have Netsurf with
its continuing development, but for the first time I do have to say: the
background colour does make it difficult for me. I do hope it reverts to
white or is made selectable.

Downloading progress
by David H Wild
Netsurf is improving regularly, for which I am very grateful, but there is
still a "silly" with the display of progress when a file is being
downloaded.
The time remaining is always calculated as if the current downloading speed
would remain constant at the present value. This is unlikely to be true as
speeds tend to vary considerably and so the time remaining figure is not
really useful at all. Either the time should be calculated by using the
time already passed and the fraction of the file downloaded so far, or the
time should be dropped from the display with only the fraction shown.

r11042: Huge spacing of hotlist
by Dave Higton
I've just downloaded r11042, and was surprised to see that the hotlist
has a huge spacing between entries.
