losing an unreadable colour scheme

the other day i tried to read a webpage that had blue print on a dark
blue background. i couldn't make out the text.
now, gold ol' Fresco had an option (Display > Document colours) that
could be deselected in a case like this. Shift-F5 for short.
could i suggest this for Netsurf, please?

NetSurf 2.0 plan & summary of recent development

Hello all,
We aim to release of NetSurf 2.0 on April 25th, to coincide with
the Wakefield 2009 RISC OS show. We are currently focused on fixing
bugs rather than adding new features.
There has been quite a bit of development done over the last few
months. In the core, there have been various fixes for float and
table placement, as well as a complete rewrite of the rendering of
inline elements. Other changes have included more tolerant meta
refresh & cookie handling, and various improvements to form handling.
The AmigaOS port has been developed quite heavily. New features
include text search support, a thumbnailed local history window,
rendering of images with alpha channels and support for displaying
Unicode text. There have also been other improvements to menus and
page rendering.
On RISC OS there have been several improvements to save and download
handling. The menus have been rearranged to make them more intuitive.
Options relating to the current selection and global clipboard have
been added to the menu. Additionally the object menu has been improved
with the availability of options specific to links.
The Framebuffer port has been substantially improved. A status bar
and a toolbar with URL bar and navigation icons have been added.
Updated plotters have improved page rendering and new SDL and VNC
framebuffer targets make the framebuffer build simpler to develop.
The GTK front end has had some updates to its context sensitive
menu and some minor usability improvements. NetSurf's build system
has been streamlined and better documented. There have also been
some fixes to our HTML parser, Hubbub.
Finally, we have been developing a new CSS parser and selection
engine. This is not quite ready for inclusion in NetSurf 2.0, so
we will not be moving to that until after NetSurf 2.0 has been
released.

Sourceforge home page

The Netsurf Sourceforge page http://sourceforge.net/projects/netsurf/
appears to be all but blank (the only visible links are to "Summary",
"Tracker" and "Download"). Exporting the page as text reveals that
there is in fact quite a lot of content there (including what is
presumably a link to Feature Requests, the section I was looking for!),
but I can't find any of the links even by the usual method of waving my
mouse pointer about over a seemingly-blank page.

spurious newlines in lists in tables

I have just noticed an oddity, even with the latest build. Please will
someone check that I'm not going mad and I haven't done something
inadvertent to the HTML in the extract here:

This file is an extracted part of the very old index page which lives on
my intranet and may be available here: http://81.31.96.206/ as the home
page.
If you don't see an extraneous newline between "panel" and "Radio" try
making the window narrower. Though the line is packed with other
browsers I have tried don't seem to miscalculate the need for a newline.
On my home page, the third column gathers many extraneous newlines when
the page narrows, but only after the word 'configuration' in each case.

Worth a bug report?

I suspect this may be due to bad HTML rather than to a NetSurf bug,
but I don't have the knowledge to confirm or deny this.
1) Go to the new (and I think a lot worse) BBC weather site. I use
http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/2174?area=GL52
2) Ignore all the warnings about missing JavaScript :-)
3) Click on "Following 24 hours". This brings up the "Wind, humidity,
pressure and visibility" information, which should have come from the
line above "Following 24 hours".
4) A second click on "Following 24 hours" now brings up the required
information.
Any comments from an expert?

Netsurf failing on APOD

Can anyone confirm that recent versions of Netsurf are failing to display
http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/.
It works on 1.2 but fails with r6586-r6659, but it may have failed earlier
as I don't update that often.

Play.Com

I raised this on the tracker list as 2133915 but it has been closed but
not fixed. The search box at the top of www.play.com (between 'All
products' and 'Search' displays as a narrow bar rather than the correct
width. If text is entered the box width changes to the length of the text.
