Unknown SSL protocol
by John Williams (address)
Sometime after r8950 - 1st Aug 2009, accessing my French bank results in
this error at the password box appearing stage:
Sorry, NetSurf was unable to display this page
Unknown SSL protocol error in connection to
voscomptesenligne.labanquepostale.fr:443
- so something changed after that version.

no logfile after crash
by Jim Nagel
my RiscPC (4.39) crashed a few minutes ago, upon my trying to save a
graphic out of Netsurf r9704. everything froze: menu remained on
screen but mouse and keyboard did nothing, had to resort to power
switch.
perhaps it was the memory-gobbling thing again: Netsurf had been in
use (ie, without quit and reload) for the past 24 hours or so, and my
free-ram indicator was down to about 20M last time i noted (machine
has total 128M); perhaps this action pushed it to tipping point.
anyway, after rebooting and before reloading Netsurf, i went to save
its logfile from the crashed session.
but there is no logfile. is this normal, or has something strange
happened?

BBC Weather site display
by Gerald Dodson
November 15 version:
On first accessing the BBC weather site the part of the page initially
shown is blank and there is a error occurs with a png. Stepping down
results in the image on the lower part of the page being shown and on
returning to the top part that appears correctly.
So far I have not had memory problems but with this version I have had a
message to say Netsurf running short.
Any comments?
Thanks

NetSurf dumps
by David J Worden
>From time to time NetSurf has had problems and created massive dumps.
I know they are large because of the time taken to write them. Do
these get deleted after a time or are they piling up on my disc? If
the latter, where are they please so that I can delete them? I have
had a look around but I can't find them. Thanks.

Failure on scamdex
by glavallin
Netsurf build (r9677 23:15 ) on 15/11/09 fails on the site www.scamdex.com
and issues a bug report. All is not lost however as version 23May2009 19:30
r7539 works fine. All builds I downloaded post r7539 failed on this site.
Why didn't I report sooner - just found it and back tracked on earlier
downloads.

Warning - NetSurf crashes
by Richard Ashbery
Warning - Control-dragging images off websites to directories that are
nested too deeply may result in NetSurf crashing (icon disappears).
Unrelated I think but I also reported a bug (ID 2827842) on 27-07-2009
on the support tracker where the NetSurf icon disappears after
Adjust-clicking on Save icon. I did manage to send an error report.
R9662 still exhibits this behaviour but no report is offered.

NetSurf still gobbling memory
by Dave Symes
I was using a NetSurf of a few days old, and discovered it's still
gobbling all the machine spare RAM, all 55 Mbytes of it.
Downloaded latest availiable... r9660 (03 Nov 2009) and it's still playing
gobble gobble with all the RAM.
Is this problem resolvable... It seems to have been going for a long time
now?
Dave
If the URL for this particular gobble site is required, ask and I'll post
it, with details of what in the site to click to get the gobble.
