Barclays online banking
by Dave Higton
I've just done an online banking session with Barclays this morning,
so I can report in a little more depth.
The very good news is that it worked; I was able to set up a payment
and to transfer money between accounts. I was able to read all the
writable fields. So thank you again for that.
The not so good news is that one of the fields that displays items
from a pull-down menu was displaying incorrectly. The case in point
is the item that shows and allows selection of the known payees from
previous occasions. I have three. The box was three text lines high.
I had previously assumed that it was just wrapping the text from the
selected item, but in fact it was displaying text from more than one
of the items. I have just gone back to Oregano 2 to check; O2 shows
just one line. When I pulled the items down, the correct one was
selected, so it all worked OK, it just had a confusing display.
Unfortunately you need to have logged in to be able to see this.

NetSurf printing
by Richard Ashbery
Has any progress be made with NetSurf's printing on RISC OS 5? The
current release has the same help instructions as previous issues
about lack of Font Manager and printer drivers support - there is a
comment about a patch for non-Postscript printers that has been
submitted to RISC OS Open Ltd.

error pages
by Tony Moore
In recent SVN Activity, I had hoped that
2008-02-27 18:48 - jmb - r3871 - (in trunk/netsurf)
Explicitly mark error pages as non-fresh so they'll get purged from
the cache ASAP
would provide a fix for
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1675059&group_id...
which concerns the inability of NetSurf to re-load a page, if a previous
attamept to fetch it had been made while the machine was offline.
Unfortunately, not.

Table centering going awry
by Barry E Allen
Hi Folks,
I think that the Table centering is going awry in the latest two
versions of Netsurf. 27th Feb 19-15) r3872
The advert for the fun run at this URL
http://www.broughton-park.org.uk/index1.htm
is not centred in version 27th Feb 19-15) r3872 and the one before but
is centred in version 17 Feb 2008 18:30) r3859
Is it the latest version of Netsurf or is it my HTML?

Hi Gavin,
Thanks for the reply. I thought I was going mad. It must be a well
messed up site to be sending the page as text.
I had some fairly unprintable thoughts but of a different sort. I had
been having a nice time Googling with Firefox on Linux and had reached a
point where I wanted to put some URLs into an email. Email is on RISC OS
here, so over to the Iyonix I went, opened up the site in Netsurf with
unexpected result.
I am having a run of bad luck with RISC OS at the moment.
At least I now know how to get text from Linux to the Iyonix even though
it did arrive as filetype &000!

I mis-typed the address when I sent this before so it was returned.

hang when I went to count them)...at least four
I seem to remember reading about this problem before. If so how do I find
List Archives?
If not how do I deal with this?
Tasks gave me

Before I complain ...
by John
My local doctors practice is now proud to have a website where one can - in
theory - make appointments, etc. One annoying feature of the site is that,
on Netsurf at least, the page does not scale in width. Viewed on Windoze it
looks fine :(
The site is http://www.kenmoremedicalcentre.co.uk/default.asp
It looks as if http://www.opg.co.uk/contact.asp would be the place to
complain but can someone tell me what specifically is the problem before I
do so? Or is it just a Netsurf problem since it also scales properly on O2?
Thanks,
John

Financial help?
by A W
Looking at the section of the Netsurf site on how people can
contribute who are not programmers it doesn't seem a lot short of
trying to help on this list. Would a "donate" button like on Drobe be
useful and accelerate development? Alternatively, if javascript
development gets underway what about a testing rota of some kind?
