Thanks for the recent work on cookies, JMB. That seems to have fixed
NetSurf's inability to handle my PHP more-secure form which requires the
image of a word created on-the-fly to be typed in to a form field:
I notice that the (newly introduced) version number has not changed with
the version of 4th Feb, and that it doesn't (yet?) appear in the Info box.
Also that the style of the browser ID returned doesn't conform to the
normal RISC OS nomenclature used by other RISC OS browsers:

I don't know if this is a recent problem, but twice today I have tried
to fill in forms (Skype and Lloyds TSB personal banking site) and used
the NumPad for entry of numeric values. Nothing is seen, but using
the top row of the keyboard works OK. Num Lock is on and works
elsewhere. I'm using the 17th March 2007 14:30 build on RISC OS 5.13.
Does this happen for anyone else?
I've been raising bug reports for a number of crashes recently, only
to find that the report is closed as a duplicate. Is there a simple
way to check the log for known frequently-occurring faults?

Having just upgraded to a shiny new widescreen monitor, I find that web
pages display rather too wide when opened on it. (In absolute terms:
13.25") Is there a setting I have missed somewhere as a default width,
O2, by the way, opens a new window rather narrower and looks "right" at

No. Currently, only the main window details are remembered.
For some reason Netsurf has suddenly started displaying Ebay pages
incorrectly, if you type in something in the search box and click
search the page will be brought up and all the data and pictures are
displayed correctly, but the layout is all over the place, it is only
the list of items for sale which is displayed incorrectly, everything
else is fine.
Ebay must have changed something in their pages recently which Netsurf
is having trouble with, it only happened this week, up until now been
fine. Is this a fixable problem?

The Legend ..... Behind The Cow !
I have heard some rumours that it is possible nowadays to have
hostnames that contain norwegian characters (æ, ø, å). I suppose
this is true for all accented characters, but I don't really know.
Anyway, so far I had never actually seen one of those - until now.
Take a look at this wikipedia page:
At the bottom there is a heading "Eksterne lenker" (External
links). The first one of those goes to http://www.språkrådet.no/.
Clicking on the link opens http://www.sprkrdet.no/. Manually adding
the å's again does not work either.
Is this a bug or should I register a feature request?
