Disallowed Key Characters
by Harriet Bazley
When I attempt to visit any page (using Netsurf of 05 Nov) on the
http://www.thepeoples50million.org.uk site, I get a blank page reading
"Disallowed Key Characters". If I fetch the URL via wget, Netsurf can
render it and fetch all the associated stylesheets etc, but as soon as I
click on a link I'm back to "Disallowed Key Characters" again.
WebsterXL can access the site - provided I disable JavaScript!

Paying with paypal
by Jess Hampshire
Hi
I can use paypal to pay for ebay items if I use Netsurf 1 (an old
copy), but it doesn't work if I try it with the current version (from
riscpkg).
(On the current version I don't land on the correct page, as though
it's corrupting the url it's requesting.)
Does anyone else have the same problem?

Hermes fetches RSS feeds, which may contain several updates, and MPro
displays new items, together with other email. I don't know if this can
be done with Pluto (which your headers show you to be using).

The last item which I received, on 5 November, was dated 5 November and
concerned NetSurf r3651 (which _is_ a new version).

Agreed, that a new RO build is not _necessarily_ implied by SVN change
but, certainly, if there is _no_ SVN change there will _not_ be one.
Using dialup, I launch the 10-minute wget-download only if the SVN
change-details suggest that a new version exists. If unsure, I check the
download page, first.

New Builds
by John Williams
I have experienced difficulties finding out about new builds because
(presumably) my ISP (NTL) caches pages. The more often I check, the less
likely, it seems, to find them!
Could the Builds page (http://www.netsurf-browser.org/builds/) have
something in its header to prevent this, please?
I do add PHP-style queries to the URL myself to try and avoid this, but
others must experience the same problem, and, if possible, a global
solution would be better!

Anomaly, feature - or bug?
by Richard Torrens (RiscOS)
Doing some SSIs, an odd rendering...
<a href="http://<!--#echo var="HTTP_HOST" --><!--#echo var="DOCUMENT_URI"
-->">Top of page</a>
confuses Netsurf. It renders as a link:
">Top of page
I don't think this makes logical sense - so may be a clue to some other
mis-renderings. Otherwise hardly important!

Problem with netsurf on Iyonix
by Robert Seago
Hello all,
I usually like to lurk on a new mail list for a while. Anyhow!
I have been using version 1.1 of NS since it came out, and previous
versions before that. I use an Iyonix RO5.13. I have Aemulor in the Boot
sequence but have tried removing it, but it did not seem to cure the
problem,
The problem is that certain web sites cause a total system crash,
requiring a reset.
Regular sites such as Google, drobe, wikipedia etc are OK. Some of them
which cause a problem are those using asp.
Is this a known problem and can it be cured please.
Many thanks for anticipated help.

Status display sometimes too small
by Mike Hobbs
When the pointer is moved over links the URI is displayed in the
status icon but some links are incredibly long. Would it not be
better to display the URI (and/or descriptive text) in a pop-up
bubble? An alternative improvement might be gained by moving
the horizontal scroll bar onto a separate row and allowing the
URI/status icon to wrap text and expand to show it all (or
give the user the ability to extend its size).
Another alternative would be to put "Link" on the "NetSurf" menu
so that when Menu button is clicked over a link it can be saved.
Fresco does this.

What is the bug that causes Netsurf to crash when an image in the
upper frame is clicked upon in images.google.co.uk?

Problems with ZEN forms.
by Barry.Allen
Hi Folks,
I use a few webforms on my websites which are with ZEN.
When a form is completed, up should come a page which says thank-you
for filling in the form, but with Netsurf a page comes up which says:-
"Automatic form response
Problem Encountered
The page you sent the form from was not set up correctly. Please let
the author know.
The author of the page needs to include the following HTML tag within
the form:
< INPUT NAME = "recipient" VALUE = "your_email_address_here" TYPE =
HIDDEN >
"
In ZEN forms they don't need a line like the one above. They have, I
think, a better method where the recipient's address is just a number.
This number is used to look up the email address in an address file on
the server.
An example of one of my forms is at:-
