Can't find this in FAQs or Notes, but I'm sure it's
there somewhee. How do I get NS to access the
internet via Virtual RPC as the first demo version
suppled with VA did?
Rushed off to the States here without making sure
everything worked on the laptop, sorry.
Using Netsurf build 08/08/2005. I have downloaded various
Unicode fonts, Cyberbit, Cyberbase and Tituscbz, all
with Greek characters and converted them with TTF2F.
Netsurf does not seem able to display accented symbols
- ones with codes 1fxx. That makes it virtually impossible
to read Greek text. Is this because the Font encoding does
not match the Unicode used on the pages I am looking at,
or is it something not yet fixed in Netsurf?

NetSurf is still locking up the machine (here at least, Iyo, 5.09,
with Aemulor Pro), using the 8 August build.
Is a fix for this in the pipeline? Not as important as many other
things, but I'm having to resort to the reset button quite a lot.

I was asking what it displayed instead of the vowels etc. I see from the
URL below that it displays the codepoint.

Or a font with the required glyphs.
I notice recent builds convert the title into RISC OS's system encoding. This
is fantastic :)
However, look at
I think the problem is the meta tag giving the encoding comes after the
title, and there isn't a HTTP header giving it. Is there anything that can be
Have just down loaded 07 Aug build
Having got over the problem of the break in naming (ie from "builds netsurf "
to just "netsurf" which caused a refusal to down load as a "folder......
already exists" , I succesfully downloaded and foun that I needed to re
download and install "Tinct"
Is this peculiar to me or a known factor?
Netsurf Test Build (06 Aug 2005 23:45)
When I attempt a connection to the below noted site, NS works a bit then
displays an empty page.
I have been having a few computer problems over the weekend, so I wonder
if someone else could try the URL.
Some of the text is not visible because it is overlapped by a blue
rectangle (containing the subtitle of the picture) IYSWIM
Decreasing the font size doesn't solve the problem (default and minimum font
size was 14pt, I changed it to 10pt).
Could this be fixed ?
