I've uploaded a simple NetSurf theme (just a Spritefile) at
To install, drag the !NetSurf dir over the top of your application,
select Choices from the iconbar>Themes>Metal, quit and reload.
Based on MIT's Galeon project's Remembrance theme, with an original
throbber I'm getting to like :-)
Please let me know likes or dislikes. The whole thing is very beta and
will be adapted as Netsurf grows/changes.
Build: 07 Aug 01:45 RO 3.70/3
When a window is being drawn on screen it seems to arrive frame first,
with the central section transparent showing other windows/pinboard
through it, then the content arrives.
Every time this happens I tense myself expecting a crash (because in
the past other apps that have done this have produced a crash). Is
this behaviour intentional - perhaps related to the window drawing
probelm that I recently reported (which you fixed)?
Jeremy C B Nicoll - my opinions are my own.

Is NS now able to print? (Yes I know it can print some things). ;-)
I tried to print out a copy of my bank statement this morning, if it
hadn't have been for the slightly coloured background, I'd have been
presented with a completely white piece of paper.
So the background printed in various shades of light grey, but the black
text came out white.
Yes, the "Print All Text in Black" was ON.
Any knowable solution please.
I should note that I also have other HTML docs that NS prints white.
I can send a sample if required.

As the site's inaccessible, there's little that can be done.
After downloading the latest version of NetSurf on September 4th,
and trying to run it, I got this most unhelpful error message...
File 'System:Modules.SharedULib' not found
I then looked in !Run, where I found this error message...
NetSurf requires SharedUnixLibrary 1.02 or later. This can
be downloaded from http://www.chocky.org/unix/usage.html
..which would have been a *lot* more useful, but failed to show.
The same fault happened with the AcornURI & Tinct modules, and
would probably apply to the other modules if I hadn't got them.
Of course, the website does say these modules are needed, I'm
just saying that the !Run isn't working properly. Anyway, having
downloaded & installed the modules, I get this error message...
SWI value out of range for module SharedCLibrary
I'm running Risc OS 4.03 on a Kinetic StrongArm Risc PC600.

I have down loaded Test build 28 Sept 2004 [15:45] of NetSurf.
Most of my Hotlist works fine but I have a few which link through
ie my BT account.
This link works perfect using Oregano2 but NetSurf will not open.
Although neither Oregano2 nor NetSurf will let me proceed beyond page 2
when trying to obtain Nectar membership the page format shown using NetSurf
does not allow auto travel through the various boxes illustrated.
Any suggestions please.
I've made some translations.
Most of the templates, messages, docs of the 14-sep-04 test-build were
translated to german language.
To whom can I send the files ? (I will eMail these files ZIP archived.)
All the best, Sebastian
