[Netsurf-develop] Placement of download windows
by Stefan Bellon
The new, cool download windows are all placed on the same position on
screen when downloading multiple files at the same time. It would be
nice if the download windows would cascade like the normal browser
windows do.
Oh, and when did the extension get stripped off? I'd like the extensions
like /zip etc. still at the end of the file name. Could this be changed
again or made configurable?

After logging in, reload the forums page, and it works for me. This will
eventually be fixed by using the various cacheability headers sent by the
server.

Re:[Netsurf-develop] Error on downloading files
by glavallin
I am using Riscos 4.03
!Scrap is located in !BOOT.RESOURCES
When I read your reply I created a dir: NetSurf in !Scrap and downloaded
files can be dragged into this dir; though I would have expected that
downloaded files would be automatically downloaded directly into
!BOOT.RESOURCES.!SCRAP.NetSurf without futher ado :-)

[Netsurf-develop] Dead man's handle
by Theo Markettos
Sometimes when Netsurf (test build 11 Jun) gets confused, it seems to stop
responding in a Windows sort of way - the desktop is fine, but NS refuses to
render anything saying 'Opening page...' but not actually doing anything.
It still claims every URL request though.
What's worse is that 'Quit' on the iconbar menu or from the Task Manager
don't work. I suppose there's Alt-Break, but could we have a way to really
terminate a confused NS if it refuses to die? It's impossible to run
another copy until NS is killed.
Thanks,
Theo

[Netsurf-develop] Error on downloading files
by glavallin
Hello All
With build 29 Jun 12:45 I cannot save downloaded files
I get the error : The file cannot be saved due to an error:Not same disc.
It makes no difference if I name a directory as the given destination.
Otherwise Netsurf is looking good

[Netsurf-develop] Box assert since last update
by John Tytgat
Question for the NetSurf development : after pulling the changes made
since 27 June (around 19:00) I've got an assert in box_normalise_block, see
<URL:http://www.cvs.riscos.org.uk/netsurf_utf-8/stderr.txt> (full debug
log enabled in render/box.c + moved the LOG() after the assert before
the assert) for the NetSurf initial webpage on disk.
Any idea what the problem could be ? The css/css.c syntax error puzzle
me too.

The reason it didn't respect the setting was due to the functionality that
NetSurf has to make the window maximise to the full screen height
irrespective of the height of the content (it detects the toggle and forces
the height to the full screen height).
I did some work on the window code over the weekend and I've added in a
quick hack to make this code only take effect when the content height is
actually smaller than the screen height, so for a very high percentage of
situations the icon bar covering option will now be respected.
Any build after 2004-06-27 15:34 should provide this temporary fix, and a
correct implementation should be available in due course. Anyone who wants
the ability to set a default window position (I seem to remember some
requests a while back) should grab this build too.

[Netsurf-develop] !NetSurf and !MessPro
by Ed Donnelly
Hi
The latest version of !NetSurf (29 Jun 2004 17:30) seems a bit flaky
launching URLs from !MessPro - twice tonight it's crashed, once exiting
cleanly another time leaving a hung hour glass (alt-break broke out of
it). Anybody else noticed this?
