[Netsurf-develop] Leafnames, back to normal ?
by Jerome Mathevet
Hi,
I recall a thread where people were complaining about filenames being
munged by NetSurf. Some data (legal MP3s) I download lose a lot of info
because of that (songname, author because the files are not tagged).
What was decided by the netsurf team ? Shall we go back to normal file
saving ? Is this low/high priority ? It would made my life so much
easier !

[Netsurf-develop] NetSurf - Draw File export
by Grahame
Hi all,
Could someone try the following to see if it a universal problem or
something only affecting my set up.
I often export as a Draw File my credit card statement so that I can
drop it into Ovation (V1.43S) as a picture and thus resize it to what I
want before printing. I am finding that if I do this and then drag
another window across the Ovation window various lines are badly
corrupted or even removed. This also affects the printout.
However if I export the Draw File from NetSurf into Draw and then save
the Draw File directly into Ovation I can then drag a window across the
Ovation window without any corruption occurring and a printout is
perfect.
I have noticed that scrolling the window also corrupts some of the text
that has scrolled out of view when it is brought back.
A similar problem appears using the demo version of OvationPro though
with OvationPro as well as this problem the right hand side of the
exported draw file (from Netsurf) is missing, in this case the last
column of figures.
I don't print the statement directly from NetSurf as it is wider than an
A4 sheet and the NetSurf sideways printing option is greyed out.
I also notice that if I export the Draw File to disc and then reload it
back into a Netsurf window the statements figures no longer fit
correctly in the columns. I have many copies of NetSurf and I have to go
back to Test Build 31 Jul 2004 13:00 to find a version which loads the
exported Draw File statement back in correctly. I did report this
problem at the time but no one replied to my comments.
I am using Build 28 Nov 2004 00:30
Canon BJC 2100 printer
Risc OS 4.02
StrongArm
64Mb
Thanks,
Grahame

Thank you! B-)
I'm now running !Flash just downloaded off jmb's site, and the latest
build of !NetSurf, but clicking on "Win an Iyonix" (to test Flash) in
www.iyonix.com, I get a black background, within which a small rectangle
briefly appears in the top left corner, and then Netsurf says "Document
done". <Flash$Dir>.errors is empty, and that was all after a soft
reboot.
What am I doing wrong?
