[Netsurf-develop] Changes since last month

Here's the list of major changes since the end of December:
+ Improved JPEG handling using jpeglib
+ Memory pooling to reduce memory usage (James Bursa)
+ Unicode -> Latin1 character conversion (James Bursa, Michael Drake)
+ Updated documentation (Michael Drake)
+ Improved font support, including font-family and font-variant CSS rules
+ Added rules for <u>,<s>,<ins> and <del> HTML tags to the default CSS
+ Added rules for <dfn>,<code> etc to the default CSS (Michael Drake)
+ Error pages for fetch failures added (James Bursa)
+ New default theme (Michael Drake)

[Netsurf-develop] Latest build crash

Hi,
Well I downloaded the latest build (24 Jan 2004 17:15) and my index page
crashes it! (www.leylandsme.co.uk/index.htm) I get a blank window
before it crashes. Note this is from the local disc not from on-line.
I have played about and it is the bit that calls the webcounter. This
was OK in the build from the Soton site.

[Netsurf-develop] Default Theme and Open Source

Hi,
As NetSurf is opensource I assume that the original image files come under
the same license? If so, and if not too, can someone (tlsa??) stick the
Artworks files for the default theme on the NetSurf site, or somewhere
appropriate. I want to have a play around with the colours.

I have just found out about Netsurf and have downloaded the program and
modules. I get the error:

I am running a Kinetic RISC PC with 64MB, RISC OS 4.03, Oak SCSI card

[Netsurf-develop] A problem with images

Hello All,
I've been using Netsurf for a while now and since last week I've actually
had my RiscPC connected to the internet (at last). It's been brilliant as
far as I can tell and renders many pages more precisely than Oregano (and
O2).
However I have experienced a problem with images on some sites. One is my
own (http://www.spunge.org/~smiler/page.php). Where some images should
appear, netsurf actually fetches the site's error page! This does not happen
in any other browser I've tried. I have also encountered this problem on
another site (although I cannot remember the site). If you go to the
guestbook page on my site you will see what happens. There should be small
png images (smilies) but they're are instead a page within a page.

[Netsurf-develop] 22 January build

The 22 January build shows the same problem reported with the 5 January
build, requiring the *rmkill ddeutils to get it to display pages.
Is this the build Geoff Bexendale reported problems with?
