I read about Netsurf on Drobe and tried downloading it to see how far
development has reached. I downloaded archives 20030608_0415/26/zip and
In each case, when I tried to run Netsurf, I had an error message:
"File 'System:Modules.SharedULib' not found"
Where would I find the file in question and are their any other files that I
might not have?
What is CVS?

I know it isn't a priority, but is NetSurf going to have support for sprites
as webpage images? I would find this quite useful because there are quite a
few html pages on old CDs and Cover Discs that I have that use sprites for
I have found out what is causing the choices file to become corrupt and cause
"Termination Signal Received: RISC OS Error". This seems repeatable, so I
will just post the details of how to do it, and not the stderr.
2)Go into choices
3)Click on save
4)Go into choices again
5)Click on save again
NetSurf should now disappear, and if you look in the choices:Netsurf.Choices
file it is now empty. NetSurf now crashes on running it.

Indeed. Check them in!
As to templates, in the main choices dialogue box template, just double
click on the icon and change the text after N in the validation box to the
name of the sprite. (for reference: I use WinED to edit my templates)
As far as I'm concerned, things such as the application sprite and
configuration dialogue sprites should be non-themeable but I'm sure others
As far as I know NetSurf doesn't support plugins yet, but it seems to crash
when it gets one instead of just ignoring it.

!Boot.Choices.Users.Andrew.NetSurf.Choices was there, but the file was empty
I deleted the NetSurf directory and ran NetSurf again, and it worked fine :)

Yeah, they were there, but the problem is solved now. thanks.
Note to self: Add IE and Browse themes to NetSurf site.
I was thinking earlier about themes, and I would be intrested to hear what
other people think, but I think that it would be best for builds of NetSurf
to only contain one "default" theme. This would minimise the size of
NetSurf and it would still function fine. If users wanted more themes then
they could download them seperately from the website.
I can easily sort out themes to just be ready to merge with the !NetSurf app,
and put them in archives on the site.
