I'm not against requiring 2.8 if you think it's worth it.
I don't think it's worth it at the moment - this is the first thing
that's caused a problem, and it was easy to work around. Plus,
requiring 2.8 cuts out a lot of possible users (ie, all the Debian
Stable users, and make it even trickier for hzsp ;-)
