Hi all,
By way of introduction, I'm Nathanael. I've just completed Part II
Computer Science at Cambridge, and will be continuing on to a Master's
next year. This summer I'm one of the four IMC-sponsored lowRISC interns
and so will be working on the project Alex outlined below. At the moment
we're all just getting to grips with lowRISC (and hardware design in
general) so are just starting to develop ideas for the project.
I hope to get a chance to speak to you all over the next few weeks.
Best,
Nathanael

Hi list,
Yesterday a group of four interns started here at the University of
Cambridge Computer Lab, kindly supported by IMC Financial Markets
(
http://www.imc.nl/ [1]). I thought it would be good for them to briefly
introduce themselves to the wider community so you should see them
responding to this post with a brief introduction.
Right now Alistair, Gary, Nathanael and Profir-Petru are mainly
getting up to speed with the lowRISC infrastructure, and starting to
plan for their next steps. The intern team will be working together to
define their plan over the coming days, and I'd expect a blog post
next week giving more detail. We're very interested in exploring
graphical output, partly as a means to producing fun demos but more
importantly as it's a good example of attaching a custom accelerator.
The internship runs for 10 weeks and I'm excited to see what the team
are able to produce in this time.
I hope you'll make them feel welcome. Best,
Alex
