I consider this a personal project for now, so I'm using whatever
tools and frameworks are most convenient. In my case that means GTK
and python for a more rapid development.
Portability would be nice and if this was a professional project I'd
pay more attention to it. I don't know much about Windows though, so
I'm not sure whether VirtualBox even installs the VBoxManage
